Competition Rules

Last updated: August 2026

Strike & Scale competitions are skill-based fishing challenges. All competitions are judged on the verified length or weight of eligible catches. No element of chance is involved.

Eligibility

Open to financial Strike & Scale members aged 18 and over who hold a valid recreational fishing licence for the state or territory in which they fish.

Monthly Species Challenges

Each month features a target species. The member with the longest verified eligible catch of that species during the calendar month wins. All catches must be submitted with photo and/or video evidence meeting verification standards.

Catch Verification

All catches must be verified using a Strike & Scale approved measuring device or method. Photos and videos must clearly show the full length of the fish on the measuring device. Catches that cannot be verified will not be eligible.

Legal Compliance

All catches must be taken in accordance with local fishing regulations, including size limits, bag limits, and seasonal closures. Catches taken illegally are automatically disqualified.

Disputes

All decisions of the Strike & Scale verification team are final. Disputes must be submitted in writing within 7 days of results being published.

Not a Lottery

Strike & Scale competitions are skill-based and do not involve random prize draws. This is not a lottery or game of chance.
